A drawing app for the noise assessment in a heat-pump permit application. Draw the plot, the house and the outdoor unit; the app calculates live and produces the permit drawings and the completed official assessment.
The opportunity
Dutch municipalities require a noise assessment made with an official spreadsheet tool. Homeowners and installers find it hard to use, and mistakes delay the permit.
What we did
- 1A visual drawing interface written for people who aren't acousticians.
- 2A calculation engine that reproduces the official WPAC-geluid tool cell by cell, tested against reference results from the original.
- 3Output: permit drawings plus a completed copy of the official tool, which remains the evidence for the municipality.
- 4AI-assisted import of existing reports and floor plans, with sensitive data redacted before upload.
